A commercial
development in Redhill for laboratory research work and
manufacture, complete with
ancillary
offices was constructed using steel frame construction
for the production units with sheeted cladding at high
level and brickwork at low level. Power floated flooring
techniques were adopted.

| The linking
together of an existing church in Reigate with existing
church halls that had been constructed during the Edwardian
era produced quite a challenge. This required the inclusion
of a new lift shaft to serve the buildings together with
new accommodation for caretaker and further church offices
and halls. In order to ensure this, work was carried
out to integrate the two buildings together. The link
site contained some low level dwellings made out of stone,
This stone was carefully removed and then cut to form
a facing to the new work. Existing stone windows were
removed and then replaced in new positions. The work
was appreciated by Reigate & Banstead Borough Council
and received a Design Award. |
