St Mary's new Church Centre is to be built on land
designated as Urban Open Land and a Conservation
Area, in the vicinity of a number of listed buildings.
It is to replace an existing Church Centre which
is outdated in form and appearance and which does
little, if anything, to enhance the character of
the conservation area. The new Centre is designed
to better serve the needs of the Church and the
wider community whilst preserving and enhancing
the character of the conservation area.

The new Church Centre will provide an enhanced community
facility that benefits the Church and wider community
in terms of the facilities available as well as
visually enhancing the area. The Centre will provide
office accommodation for the team of Church staff
as well as providing improved hall and meeting room
facilities, including supporting areas such as kitchen
facilities, storage areas, toilets and plant room
for the Church and wider community.
